Academy re-opening for some pupils How to stay safe
Following the closure of all schools in March, the Government has updated their guidance on how to stay safe during the coronavirus outbreak. The guidance is as follows: We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:
- stay at home as much as possible
- work from home if you can
- limit contact with other people
- keep your distance if you go out (2 meters apart where possible)
- wash your hands regularly
- self-isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.
You can access the latest information by visiting the Government’s website https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
Re-opening for some pupils
The Government would like pupils in Nursery and those in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 to return to school from 1st June. This is in addition to the children who are able to attend now (children of key workers and other eligible children). This means that school is re-opening on Monday 1st June to the parents of children in these groups who have let us know that they wish to take up this provision (by survey or direct contact to school). Please note that re opening is subject to ongoing monitoring and we will keep in touch with you.
The Government has published guidance on their plan for re-opening for parents and carers that is available here.
We know parents and families may have questions regarding the planned re-opening. For the latest information please see the letter from the Principal on the news section of the website
