Year 2 have been exploring Who am I? and Who am I becoming?
We have been Designer Daya by looking at the structure of a town, designing our own town and working together to create our town. Have a look at some of our amazing towns.
Daily reading- 5 times a day for 5 minutesChildren to record in reading diary daily reading that is completed at home. Reading diaries need to be sent into school daily. If your child reads 5 times at home in a week they will get to see the rabbits or guinea pigs on a Friday.
Times table practice on times tables rock starsChildren should be going onto TT Rockstars at home daily for 10 minutes. This will support them with learning their 2,5,3 and 10 times tables.
SumdogWork on Sumdog is set weekly by Miss Gatling. This work is personalised to each child and enables the children to focus on very specific learning to support their academic progress. This can be found under tasks and is named Homework WC
Times Tables and Spelling tests:Every Monday, children will be tested in school on Times Tables and on a Friday on spellings. Spellings will be sent home termly. Attendance Treat- Year have already had their first attendance treat in October for having 10 days of 100% attendance. We had a fantastic afternoon, having a dance party and ending with ice cream and ice lollies!!
