Term 3!
Term 3 has started with a crackle and a pop!
Year 2 is trying to answer the question: I wonder how the Great Fire affected London?
We started the Term by learning about the start of the Great Fire of London in 1666. We know that the houses were different then and that the fire itself started in a bakery. Therefore, we created out own Tudor houses and baked bread.
We also reminded ourselves on the need to fill each others buckets by playing a bucket filling board game.

WOW Term 2!
This term, Year 2 will be answering the question: I wonder what South Africa is like compared to here?
We've kicked the term off comparing the weather in England to South Africa in our weather diaries, preparing an extra spicy Mala Mala Fire Salad and learning a common song and dance from South Africa.
Can you spot the photos where we are practising our hip action? We would definitely get a 10 from Len!
What a Term 1!! Year to finished off this terms learning with a trip to The S.S. Great Britain. We wanted to finally answer the question: what's so special about Bristol? Well now we can. The children Explored the ship, Enjoyed workshops and guided tours, and encouraged each other to stoke the fires of the ship in hopes of reaching New York.
A great time was had by all and we all know just how special Bristol really is!
The S.S Great Britain Trip
Today, Year 2 tried to scare away the pesky seagulls with their disgusting sandwiches!! As we are reading The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch, we designed our own disgusting sandwiches. We used jam, lots of mustard and capers!! Would you want to eat those sandwiches?
Lighthouse Keeper's Disgusting Sandwiches
Year 2, enjoyed the Art Attack Challenge day this term. They worked collaboratively to create a hot air balloon scene using the materials donated by Cameron Balloons. We are loving our I wonder what's so special about Bristol topic!
