Welcome to the Year 5 Joyful Jaguars class page. We are going to Enjoy, Explore and Encourage with our learning this year. We have some exciting topics that we will explore this year. We hope children will enjoy our stimulating curriculum and we encourage children to celebrate all of their achievements. 

Each term there will be a class newsletter uploaded to this section. 

This will tell you all about what we are learning about, when our PE days are and what books we will be reading.

On the 3rd of March we had our World Book Day. Year 5 did a fantastic job at coming to school dressed in their favourite book character costumes. In the afternoon we also read with the children in year 2. It was a lovely day. 

Times Tables and Spelling tests:

Every Friday, children will be tested in school on Arithmetic and spellings. Spellings will be set up on spelling shed weekly. Arithmetic practice will be set on TT rockstars and Sumdog weekly. On Friday, children will receive a score out of 10 which will be recorded in reading diaries for parents to see. Please ensure Reading diaries are brought into school daily.
